ABOUT
RISE

The RISE coalition is a community based organization dedicated to improving the health and wellness of our community by addressing risk factors known to predict a variety of problem behaviors including youth substance use. Our membership is comprised of youth, parents, law enforcement, civic groups, businesses, healthcare professionals, media, schools, local government, and more! RISE is a partnership with the Sedro-Woolley School District and United General #304, with funding provided by Washington State Health Care Authority through the Community Prevention and Wellness Initiative and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention through the Drug Free Communities Grant. The coalition serves the community located within the Sedro-Woolley School District. The district covers 395 square miles, including the areas of Big Lake, Clear Lake, Hamilton, Lyman and Samish.

Testimonials

“We are grateful for the partnership and support we have received as a high school from the Sedro-Woolley RISE Coalition. Their work supporting our students and families, focusing on prevention and education around substance use and addiction has been instrumental. The Sedro-Woolley RISE Coalition helps run and organize our teen prevention group, WISH Club, We Inspire Safe Habits, making a huge difference for our students on a daily basis at school and has also helped fund pro-social activities for our youth, such as Spirit Busses to attend our SWHS Athletic events. We are grateful for our Coalition!!”
